Gudi
Padaws, is the auspicious First day of
the New Year according to Hindu Calendar.
This day People, particularly in Maharashtra, raise a traditional ‘Gudi’
(a sign of victory and prosperity) in front of their houses, early morning and mark the commencement of the
New Year.
At SSM, Padawa is being observed as a Day, when you resolve to do something constructive during the New Year. SSM Chairman Shri Pramodji Deshmukh suggested on this occasion , not to curse the darkness spread around and instead light a lamp of hope. A lamp that burns itself to spread light in the life of others.
Early morning flags were unfurled, an attractive march past was demonstrated by the students of SSM. A number of senior citizens were present on this occasion.
