Gudi Padawa/ Ugadi Celebrated

Gudi Padaws, is the auspicious  First day of the New Year according to Hindu Calendar.  This day People, particularly in Maharashtra, raise a traditional ‘Gudi’ (a sign of victory and prosperity) in front of their houses,  early morning and mark the commencement of the New Year.

At SSM, Padawa is being observed as a Day, when you resolve to do  something constructive during the New Year. SSM Chairman Shri Pramodji Deshmukh suggested  on this occasion , not to curse the darkness spread around and instead  light  a lamp of hope.  A lamp that burns itself  to spread light in the life of others.

Early morning flags were unfurled, an attractive march past  was demonstrated by the students of SSM.  A number of senior citizens were present on this occasion.
